Here at REI we are dedicated to becoming the #1 brand for climbers by revolutionizing the climbing experience. Our goal is to empower climbers of all levels with innovative tools.
We're conducting user interviews to gain a deeper understanding of how people engage with apps to track their fitness and climbing experiences. By delving into users' perspectives and experiences, we hope to uncover valuable insights that will inform the development and enhancement of these applications.

The avid climbers who are highly engaged with the outdoor climbing community require a comprehensive mobile application tailored to their needs. This app should serve as a multifunctional platform allowing them to meticulously track their climbing activities, efficiently plan future climbs, and seamlessly share their climbing experiences with friends and fellow enthusiasts. By addressing these needs, the app will foster a stronger sense of connection and belonging within the climbing community, enabling users to engage more deeply with their passion for climbing while staying connected with their peers.
Our aim was to deeply connect users to both the outdoor community and nature. To achieve this, we formed a diverse team and brainstormed ideas drawing from various sources like existing apps, user feedback, and the outdoors. We sketched ideas on paper and digital platforms like Figma, allowing everyone to contribute and shape the vision for the application.
